Mi Apá Latin Café: A Delicious Latin American Experience in Gainesville, FL

Great place to eat, clean delicious food but a bit pricey! Got 2 sandwiches with a pastelito and something to drink and paid $45 bucks.

My husband and I enjoyed fabulous Ybor Cuban sandwiches, papas rellenas, sopa de pollo, and sweetened tea con limon. It was SO MUCH FOOD but we managed to eat a good bit of it. There was no way we were letting any of that deliciousness go to waste LOL The service was okay .... the server that greeted us, sat us and brought our sweetened tea just decided to wander around the restaurant while we waited for him to come back to our table and take our order (my husband was watching him). The atmosphere was nothing special ... typical fast food with tables, but a good twist. You pick a table, order what you would like from the menu and it's brought to your table. That's a really nice twist, and we appreciated that. The star is honestly the food, as it should be. We would give the food 10 stars if we could. It's that terrific! We're definitely coming back, and meeting friends at this location this week. Let's see if the service is maybe better, and we're gonna try some new things on the menu. Can not wait to eat here again, folks. You definitely gotta try it!

The restaurant was nicely decorated and well staffed. I’ve had Mi Apa at the UF campus before, and the quality is a sharp contrast between the two. My food came out quickly, warm, and tasted great. Prices were lower than the campus location and very reasonable overall, great value for the quality. I stopped by after visiting the nearby springs, and it was the perfect pick me up. I also got the pink churros which were a delicious treat to end the meal. Highly recommend checking this place out.

, We have had good food… But good food, fast like this… This place Stephen got my attention, this is not my first time meeting here, but if I see one, I always at least buy something even if it’s stick out sometime just to have it as back up, they definitely know how to reach my taste buds. I ate my dinner, and I bought some extra to take with me… I appreciate this spot, they even have another one. That’s not too far with drive-through, so they’ll also have my business when I’m under the run lol

As a Cuban American, I am picky when it comes to authentic cuisine. I felt like for a chain restaurant in a modern environment, the food still had the roots of true Cuban. The vaca frita, mango juice, empanadas and lechón did not disappoint. The servers were all bilingual in Spanish and English as well.

Everything is really good. They really do it right. Sandwiches, entrees, bowls, sides pastries, flan, and the coffee. If you like Cuban food , this place is perfect.

Fantastic across the board. I've gone through their drive-thru and dined in, and the service is always fast and friendly. The food is delicious, the interior design is colorful and comfortable. From my table, I could see behind the service counter, and I was so impressed by how clean it was- from the shelves to the floor, spotless! I recommend any of the cuban sandwiches, and the tres leches for dessert. I love eating here!

Our server Juanca was amazing. So attentive and friendly. The soup came lukewarm but it was quickly replaced with a hot bowl of soup when I requested it. The steak plate, pork plate, empanadas were delicious. For a sweet treat I highly recommend the Cafe Bombon.
